Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush Petal

This came out with the spring collection. I didn't get it because the color looks kinda scary when I first saw it. Until I read a blog post (Here - in Chinese!)about this brush, I decided to get it. It is not a normal pink blush - it changes colors based on different people's skin tone.
Here is what it says on Sephora Website:
Recreate the look of just-pinched, rosy cheeks with this finely-milled light-pink blush. The unique formula adjusts to your skin’s natural chemistry to create a customized look and the universal shade, Petal #001, is flattering on all skintones. Its ultra-fine, powder texture and irresistible rose fragrance offer a moment of pure indulgence with each application.

Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush Petal - pink rose - (0.26 oz - $44)
The packaging is sleek, I especially like the silver case. The brush is usable, and quite soft. It smells like rose, but you need to get really close to smell it. The powder looks chalky in the pan, but it's actually really fine powder.
The color looks more like a cold pale pink on my cheeks, which looks nothing like in the pan. It looks quite light and natural in the pan. Normally I apply at least three layers to make the color show up a little bit better. It blends very well. The color doesn't last too long on me - around 4 hrs. I like my blush have a luminous sheen into it, but this one is more on the matte side, which is really good for every day use with different eye looks because it basically goes with everything.

NARS Duo Key Largo & Giorgio Armani Gloss d'Armani Pink 515

NARS Duo Eyeshadows Key Largo - pale peach/ shimmering bronze - (4g - 0.14oz. - $34)
Key Largo is a old old duo from NARS. I don't hear people talk about this duo too much, I guess it is because it looks quite boring. But! This is not just a boring natural duo. This is my first natural duo from NARS. I am impressed with the quality of the shadow. I guess I always tried those colorful duo from NARS, so I don't know their natural colors are quite nice. The texture is creamy, but not too soft. It is suitable for pale to medium skin tone.

Giorgio Armani 'Skin Lacquers Collection' Gloss d'Armani Lip Gloss Pink 515 - pale pink with colorful sparkles (6.5 ml - 0.22 fl.oz - $28)
I step out my comfort zone to try out some new lip stuff. This is one of them. I saw the swatches from the Beauty Look Book. This color really caught my eyes. I didn't expect too much from a lip gloss but this one is actually better than I thought. It is really sheer which is good to layer on top of another color. I tried to use it alone, it more looks like a clear lip gloss with sparkles.
PS. It tingles if uses alone. I guess it can make the lips loop a little bit fuller, but I don't see the difference.

CHANEL Vivalumiere Aqua Fresh & Hydrating Cream Compact Makeup SPF15

What a long name!
I don't really use cream makeup so I decided to give this one a try. Plus I never tried any Chanel foundation before.

30 Beige - 12g - 0.42oz. - $58
The compact is quite cute and classic. It comes with a sponge and a mirror. I was gonna throw away the clear plastic divider, but it actually stops smudging makeup on the mirror...if the sponge is dirty.
I have been using it for almost a month now.  I like this foundation. It is light weight if using the right application. It is medium coverage but definitely build-able. It lasts 6-8 hrs on my super dry face. The formula is not really hydrate to me, but I think it is because my face is just super dry all the time. When my face is not too dry, this formula looks natural and fresh on my face.
I tried to use the sponge to apply, it makes my face really fake...The best way to apply this foundation is using a foundation brush. Either a traditional one or something like MAC 187.
I picked out 30 Beige because I tried to match the color of my neck. I prefer a natural color, but they don't have one. So I have to pick out a yellow undertone. It looks dark from the swatch, but it is actually not too bad.

Chanel - Delight, Holiday, and May

I don't have any Dior polishes, but I am crazy about Chanel polishes. Normally I go for those really crazy metallic or glittery colors, but this summer I picked out some really girly color.

May (535)- Soft baby pink (Cream - 13ml - $26)
This color needs two coats. I t has a cool undertone, but most people can wear this color(spring 2012).

Holiday(617) - Orange Coral (Cream - 13ml - $26)
Orange is the main color for this summer, so I got a lot of orange stuff. This color only needs one coat, but applying two coats can make the color more opaque. This color has no blue or yellow undertone which is kinda nice.

Delight(607) - Golden Metallic (Metallic - 13ml - $26)
This color is really summer proper compare to most of the metallic color. This color contains multi-color particles. I only need one coat for this color.

Benefit Top Brass

What's up girls?
I am trying to blog more because I feel like I just can't live without reading blogs...I am currently 8 months now so I am getting more and more lazy LOL(Plus I gained 23 pounds so far! hooooo~~).

Back to the shadow... I am really into cream eyeshadows recently. From drugstore to high-end, I have been discovered some really good products for natural eyes. It is just so easy to use because I don't need any brushes, just use my finger to apply and blend it out. Even as eyeshadow base, cream eyeshadows work pretty well.

Benefit Cosmetics Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner Top Brass - golden copper (4.5g - $19)
Benefit did a really good on their cream shadow... I am surprised! It is really creamy, crease-proof and pigmented! For most of the cream shadows I tried, they are either too dry, or too wet. This one is just creamy, not wet at all. I tried layer powder shadows on top, it makes the shadow has some fall out a little bit, but not too bad. I prefer wearing it alone. I tried layer up to three layers and it didn't give me the creasing problem. This color would look better on yellow skin tone.

I am trying to take all the swatch pictures under the sunlight now, but when I took these two picture below I forgot LOL. So I photoshoped a little bit to make the color more accurate(My skin doesn't look that yellow in real life).

All over base- Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner Top Brass
Corner - with Giorgio Armani Eyes to kill 03 Purpura
Lower lash line - Tarte (no name... Sorry)

Do I look fatter than before? LOL...I think so!

M·A·C 'Hey, Sailor!' - Fleet Fast, Feeling Fresh, and Sail la vie

Hey everyone!
'Hey, Sailor!'is the new (kinda) MAC's summer collection. I wasn't going to get anything but I figured the packaging is quite cute... yea I know. I just can't skip them!

Fleet Fast - Watermelon Red (satin - 6g - $21)
the slight shimmer makes the color pop on my cheeks. The color is quite pigmented. It is build-able, but I don't have to worry about apply too much. Looks better on light to medium skin tone.

Sail la vie - Bright Mid-tone Orange (satin - 3g - $15.5)
a build-able color, sheer when first apply. It looks more red than orange on my lips. It is very dry... Plus my lips are super dry, so the color looks super chalky on me. I have to wear something underneath this color but it makes the color not as intense. Looks better on pale skin.

Eye Shadow:
Feeling Fresh - Grass Green (Frost - 1.5g - $16)
I got this last night. I was going to skip the eyeshdows for this collection but I guess this color is just too pretty. I couldn't find this color online so I went to the mall... Thank God they still have it! The color feels really creamy, but when I swatched this, it was a little bit dry. Doesn't really bother when apply on the eyelids.

Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow No. 22 Pale Barley - My new fav brand!

I am always disappointed with "designer" makeup line, like Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eye shadows (Review Here). I wasn't going to try Burberry, but I saw the packaging from their counter... I am just in love with the packaging! LOL. So... I decided to give it a try.

Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow NO. 22 PALE BARLEY, (2.5g - 0.88oz - $29)
As I said, packaging is quite cute! The case is very well made, magnetic, and really HEAVY. It is a soft shimmery light brown nude color. This is a perfect lid color for everyday. The shadow is creamy and soft. The most important thing is when I apply this on my eyelid, there is no fall out - which is amazing for such soft texture.

Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow NO. 22 PALE BARLEY on the lid.
Too Faced Teddy bear on the crease.

Do you like my new lay out?
